About The Role:

In this role of Mentor, you will be based in the Workforce Australia Team working with our job seeker customers that have been referred to us via Centrelink and Services Australia. This role, plays a transformative role in shaping people's futures, guiding job seekers through their employment journey and empowering them to achieve long term, meaningful work. This is a position for someone who thrives on human connection, believes in potential, and knows how to turn possibility into progress.

As a Mentor, you become a catalyst for change, helping our customers of job seekers overcome barriers, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to thrive in the workforce. You'll design personalised pathways to employment, ensuring every job seeker has the right plan, the right support, and the right opportunities at the right time.

At the heart of this role is people centred case management, where you'll draw on your understanding of barrier management, wellbeing, and job readiness to guide job seekers toward sustainable outcomes. You'll identify growth opportunities, coordinate training and upskilling, and connect individuals with mental health and community supports that strengthen their journey.

Most importantly, you'll be the steady hand and encouraging voice that helps job seekers see what's possible, and then achieve it.

Day to day in this role, You will:

  • Establish effective relationships with customers and provide clear career guidance and direction which leads customers to finding sustainable employment
  • Recognise and celebrate customer success in achieving milestones and employment outcomes
  • Develop and foster relationships with employers, community organisations and industry partners
  • Create detailed action plans that establish customer employment and lifestyle goals, targeted strategies, actions and steps to achieve employment goals
  • Thrive in a target based fast paced environment, a self starter that can work autonomously to reach targets


What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience in working with Employment Services or similar environments
  • Thrives in a target based fast paced environment
  • A self-starter that can work autonomously to reach goals and KPI's
  • The ability to interact effectively with people across different cultures
  • High level of resilience and ability to remain calm and keep a positive attitude when responding to a range of situations.
  • Experience in case management service delivery and mentoring
